Pilot schools have found that seeking and acting on feedback from parents, staff members and students has been a key to their success. They recommend a variety of instruments to gather critical information from the broad range of groups in your school's community.
As part of the pilot review research, 32 parents of Year 7 students were surveyed and listed feedback and communication on their child's progress as the top reason why a school was exceeding expectations.
"Successfully implementing Year 7 into high school is not just a one-off. It’s a model that you need to review each time you have a new cohort of Year 7s coming in."
